Full Résumé
EDUCATION
I received my BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1977, with a major in MOTION PICTURE PRODUCTION. In 1981 I completed my MASTER OF FINE ARTS degree at the same department, specializing in ANIMATION PRODUCTION.
During my college career I created three fine art animation films. All three won awards and screened at film festivals worldwide, including FILMEX, Lille Animation Festival, and the Barcelona, Hong Kong, and Virgin Islands International Film Festivals. I also worked in the field of special effects on Hollywood feature films (Bladerunner, Escape From New York). I worked on the very first computer-animated commercial, for Bank of America, at Gehring Aviation Company.

MANAGING EDITOR. Most recently I have been offering my skills as Managing Editor to Christian authors through Nordskog Publishing, Inc. |

BUSINESS OWNER. I was a business owner with my husband, acting as CFO in an electronics recycling company called Hi-Tech Recycling. This position required mastery of a wide array of tasks, including writing, web design, graphic design, ad production, office management, customer service, sales, reporting to government agencies—everything and anything that needed to be done to handle a staff of five employees, a fleet of trucks, and a 10,000 square foot warehouse. This company was sold in 2013 after eleven successful years. |
2000-03 |
GRAPHICS AND ANIMATION. I was co-animator on two award-winning animated movies, both of which were created in Adobe Flash. One of these films was a half-hour documentary on Albert Einstein distributed to schools and libraries nationwide. It was the first animated documentary created in Flash. I also worked for Intellitools, a manufacturer of educational software for the developmentally disabled. |
1993-00 |
I worked for The Learning Company, formerly Mattel Interactive and Broderbund Studios, assisting with graphics and animation on a number of Carmen San Diego games, Zoombinies, Koala Lumpur, Riven, and Kid Pix Deluxe. I was responsible for virtually all art on a set of twelve Kid Pix Activity Kits designed for curriculum development. |
1993-97 |
TEACHER. I trained & taught with California Poets In the Schools, and volunteered teaching poetry in schools and libraries around Marin. I also participated in the Artist in the Schools Program, teaching Animation Without Cameras at West Marin School, Pt. Reyes. |

Before working at Broderbund I worked for many companies, including Electronic Arts, Accolade, Autodesk, and ToeJam and Earl. |
